Meal Plan Monday
Bon Soir!! It's that time of the week again. Last week was a bit of a bust for meal planning. I planned, but we didn't follow through. Last minutes plans happened on Thursday so I didn't get to try the Morrocan stew. I will do this this week.
Here's my menu:
Monday: Pork Steak, roasted potatoes, and broccoli. I will make a side of green salad.
Tuesday: BBQ Hamburgers, Caesar salad.(Scott didn't want to try the tuna burgers)
Wednesday:Tuna Casserole and Salsa Salad.
Thursday: Chicken Fajitas
Friday: Lasagna, Garlic Toast and Mixed Green Salad.
Saturday: Moroccan Stew and buns.
Sunday: Turkey with all of the fixings!
Hopefully this week will be better!!

Question of the Day...
I saw this on another blog and thought I'd ask the question and then give my response.
What is your earliest moment of cooking/baking of your own?
My earliest recollection of baking is when I got my first easy bake oven. Oh how I loved this easy bake oven. It came with lots of cake and cookie mixes. I quickly baked through these and then decided I would make my own cakes from scratch. My mom, who is not much of a baker(amazing cook,but not a baker)gave me free reign in the kitchen. I came up with a sure fired cake recipe. I baked it and remember my first bite...I had expected it to be scrumptious. Obviously I was a natural,but to my astonishment it tasted absolutely disgusting! No one would eat anything more than the morsel I offered. I ended up feeding it to my dog Smokey who later on puked it up!!

Culinary Meme...
Taken from Gwen...here's my responses...
1. Most used gadget: Grater(is that a gadget) or coffee grinder(I use it to grind coffee and spices)
2. Most used item(s) in the whole kitchen: Electric skillet...the majority of my cooking is done on it and dishwasher.
3. Last time I cooked for a crowd: Everynight for my family of 5...but a bigger crowd would be Christmas dinner.
4. Who had the most influence on my cooking: Auntie K...I love how she's so organized and Martha Stewartish...
5. Most used spice: Garlic(Scott went to work the other night and his car pool buddies said he smelled like a garlicky old Italian...oopsie...I should ease off a little!)
6. Favourite ice cream: Butterscotch ripple
7.Coffee... ground or whole beans? Whole beans
8. Peanut Butter... crunchy or smooth?Smooth
9. Pet peeve in someone else's kitchen: Dirty countertops(probably cuz it reminds me of my house!)
10. Too many in the freezer: fish eggs(gross I know!!!)
11. Wine... white or red: Red Red Wine it makes me feel so fine...you keep me rockin' all of the time...
12. Evian water? No...tap water...My next investment will be a water cooler.
13. Favourite fruit: Honey Dew and Strawberries
14. Vegetable I hate: Brussels sprouts!(I agree with you on this one Gwen....ughh)
15. Food mispronunciation that grinds my gears: When Scott says "Vengetables"(I correct him everytime...you should hear him say..."the tiger is eating a vegetable...The Tager is eating a vengetable....AAAAAAAAH!)
16. Favourite sandwich: Toasted Tomato, mayo, and cheese!!!(or a tuna melt)
17. Indispensable condiment: Salsa(not sure if this is a condiment)
18. Seafood? Not shellfish(I have an allergy) but I love salmon and halibut.
19. Salsa... with or without cilantro? Without cilantro but I LOVE Salsa. I use it on alot.
20. Carbs: I'm a carbaholic from way back...trying to do a 12 step program....without much success, unfortunately.

Meal Plan Monday
Well it's that time of the week again my friends...I've set up this blog just for Meal Plans and Recipes and such...
Here's my Meal Plan for this week:
Monday: Hamburger Steaks with Roasted Potatoes and Carrots...Mixed Green Salad
Tuesday: Sweet and Sour Ribs with Brown Rice
Wednesday: Roasted Honey Mustard Chicken served over Green Salad.
Thursday: Gwen's Moroccan Stew
Friday: Eating out for me...take out for the family.
Saturday: Chili and buns.
Sunday: Fettuccine Alfredo
Anyhow it's super late and I am off to bed...
